Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Launched in India; Prices Start at Rs. 9999

Major Chinese handset developer Xiaomi, on Thursday, launched its all new smartphone Redmi Note 3 in India. The new smartphone comes with a lot of attractive features and specifications and at a price that is really worth paying.

Breaking the history of launching all of its smartphones in China, Xiaomi launched India-oriented Redmi Note 3 on Thursday. The all new smartphone comes loaded with Qualcomm-based processer as against its MediaTek-based Chinese
model that was launched in the last quarter of 2015 in China. The smartphone is the third offering by Xiaomi under 'Make in India' project.

The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 variant runs on Qualcom Snapdragon 650 SoC processor which, according to Xiaomi, is the first smartphone in India to do so. The smartphone will be made available in three colours - Champagne Gold, Dark Grey, and Silver.

The model will be available in two RAM and storage variants too. The 2 GB RAM variant will have 16 GB of inbuilt storage while its 3GB RAM model will have double inbuilt storage. 2 GB RAM model is priced at Rs.9999 while the other model is priced Rs.11,999. Customers can grab the models through Mi.com and Amazon.in for time being and the Chinese handset major affirms that the models will be made available via Flipkart and Snapdeal but only at a later date. Registrations are open and the sale will will start 2.00 pm on Wednesday, 9th of March.

All metal body frame, fingerprint scanner at the rear, two months free subscription to Hungama, etc. are a few of the attractions offered with the new Mi Model. Xiaomi has said that the users can save up to five fingerprint profiles in this model, making no chance for a mess.

Hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor is probably one of the most striking features of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Its 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels offers 178-degree viewing angle. The new Note 3 runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 based Android Lollipop. It supports dual 4G SIMs (Nano+Micro) and is powered by a huge 4050mAh battery. Further making it more attractive, Xiaomi offers fast charging support which lets you charge over 50 percent in an hour.

Wooing the smartphone ‘photographers and ‘selfie lovers’; Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a 19MP camera at rear and 5 MP camera at front. The rear camera is loaded with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) feature and a dual-tone flash. The smartphone weighing just 164 grams measures 150x76x8.65mm. Its connectivity features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, among others.
