With a view to empower women and transform their lives, top online shopping site Amazon India launched 'women only' delivery station which is a ‘one-and-only-kind’ according to Amazon India. The first of such station was opened at New Delhi.With this new initiative, Amazon India aims to create ample job opportunities for women and making them real achievers in life. All kinds of activities including delivery at this kind of stations will be exclusively managed and run by women staff. Women will be appointed to deliver packages within a radius of two to three kilometres.

Commenting on the new initiative, Amazon India’s transportation director Samuel Thomas said that they are extremely happy to become pioneers in opening women only delivery stations in India. We look forward to help women across all communities attain financial independence in their lives, added Mr. Thomas.
