The all new Honda Civic meant for the Southeast Asian markets is believed to owe its US Counterpart for style, features and design- suggests the prototype model spotted in Thailand. The 9th generation Honda Civic was unveiled in 2015 September. In November 2015, Honda also revealed Civic coupe as well.
Images of the prototype model suggest that the styling will remain in line with the model revealed last year. Coupe like design, flying H design language, tailgate real spoiler, etc. are some of the features found similar with the old model.

If rumours can be believed, then the model is powered by a new 1.5 litre turbo-petrol engine. It also suggests 2.0-litre engine as optional. Manual gearbox or CVT gearbox will be offered but depending on the markets.

Features borrowed from the US-spec model include LED headlamps, powered front seats, adaptive cruise control and dual-zone climate control. Apart from these features, there is also a touchscreen infotainment system which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These are also similar to the features of the US-spec model.

Meanwhile Honda is said to be busy designing a hatchback for the European markets. The Honda hatchback is believed to have its debut in the Geneva Motor Show which is to be held in March 2016.
