Here CarPortalz bring together top five favourite world launches at Chicago Auto Show 2016. Though the Auto Show witnessed most of the top manufacturers announcing great plans, concepts and promising launches; these five stood out head and shoulders ahead to all. 1. Nissan Armada
Among the SUVs and all the vehicles launched at Chicago Auto Show 2016, Nissan Armada was one of the top-noticed one. The all new SUV completely designed in an all new platform holds the same size as last year’s Armada. But coupled with a good number of all-new features, the 2016 Armada outsteps its predecessor by far and wide. Three rows accommodate seven people quite comfortably.
Nissan Armada is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 engine that is capable of churning out 390 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. The powerful engine is mated with 7-speed automatic transmission. The old Armada could not pull fans due to various reasons. But this time, with all these new features, new Armada poses itself as a serious fighter in the SUV segment.
2. Chevrolet Camaro 1LE
Chevrolet Camaro 1LE is another major launch that drove fans at Chicago Auto Show 2016. The model is offered in two engine variants. The V6 engine is capable of delivering 335 horsepower while a more powerful V8 engine delivers up to 455 horsepower. It’s all new features include stiffer suspension and drivetrain cooling. Upgraded interior components and dual-mode exhaust system make the coupe a more desirable one.
3. Kia Niro
Kia Niro is another most exciting offerings in to the SUV segment. The all-new Niro is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine (capable of producing 103 horsepower) and lithium-ion battery powered electric motor capable of producing 43 horsepower. As a result, the model produces a total of 146 hp and 195 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The company vows decent mileage as well.
4. Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro
With Tacoma TRD Pro Toyota is looking for recapturing top spot in off-road driving a thing which it has been owning for a long time through its Tacoma models. Now with the new model with an improvement on lift (one inch), higher grade shocks, springs; their intention gets clearer. Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro moves on 16-inch wheels with kevlar tires and aluminium skid plates. LED exterior lights and a other TRD-badged exterior and interior components make it more desirable.
5. Ram Power Wagon
Ram Power Wagon remains another hot model in this segment. It is a perfect choice for those desiring bigger size, more space without compromising better off-road performance. The model has got 14.3 inches of ground clearance and 26 inches of suspension travel. Its new Rebel front grille and exterior colours and graphics are attractive. Ram Power Wagon is powered by a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine that is capable of generating 410 horsepower and 429 newton metre of torque.
