KOLKATA: India require 118 runs to win the match against Pakistan, played at Eaden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. Winning the toss, Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni decided to bowl first against the rivals. Score; Pakistan - 118/5 (18 overs). Earlier due to rain, the match started late and the umpires limited the match to 18 overs per side.

Invited to bat fist, Pakistan scored 118 in 18 overs, thanks to Shoaib Malik who scored a blistering 26 from 16 balls. Batting was difficult in the slow and turning pitch especially in the beginning the pitch really did help the spinners a lot. But as the match progressed, Pakistan batsmen made a comeback and have put a decent total on the board to put pressure on India.

Shehzad in his anchoring innings scored 25 from 28 with the help of three boundaries. Afridi (8), Sharjeel Khan (17), and Umar Akmal (22) were the other Pak batsmen who got dismissed. For India; Suresh Raina, Bumrah, Jadeja, Nehra and Pandya took one wicket each.

Every time when India plays against Pakistan, the stadium is houseful. The situation in Kolkata too was not anything different. Supporters of both the teams gathered in the ground to support their teams. Sachin Tendulkar, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, former Indian captain Saurav Ganguly were a few among those dignitaries at the VIP box.
